# Vehicle sound recordings

Prepared for EarthDrive on 1 November 2026. Sources were downloaded as public MP3 previews, decoded to mono 24 kHz PCM, trimmed, DC-corrected, normalized and (for engines/rolling) crossfaded into loops. Runtime playback changes pitch, filtering and volume to follow simulated vehicle controls. These are adapted field recordings, not manufacturer-specific sound simulations.
